Dr. Tamirat Solomon has a Ph.D. degree in Forest Production and Protection; an M.Sc. in Production Forestry and a Bachelor of Education degree in Woodworking Technology. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Natural Resources Management Wolaita Sodo University, Ethiopia. His research areas focus on forest production, protection, forest biodiversity monitoring, restoration of degraded lands, utilization of eco-biodiversity, impacts of climate change on forest biodiversity, sustainable utilization of protected areas and its challenges, mountain ecosystems management, community based and participatory forest and natural resources management, forest and natural resources policy, and related. He has published over 20 research works in different international reputable journals. He has experience in international research in Asia specifically in South Korea with different scholars. Dr. Tamirat also has solid and excellent national and international collaboration, intercommunication, and cooperation skills. Currently, Dr. Tamirat is engaged in teaching and advising students, community services and outreach, research, and administrative positions as an associate director of the Central Laboratory at Wolaita Sodo University, Ethiopia.
