Sherchan, Ms. Pragya

Miss Pragya Sherchan is a graduate in Environmental Management from School of Environmental Science and Managmnet (SchEMS), Pokhara University. Currently, she is working at Prakriti Resources Centre as Programme Officer. She is leading climate change and gender project and also engaged in climate finance, climate-induced migration, loss and damage, etc. She is more focused on women empowerment and leadership and working in collaboration with municipalities at different locations in Nepal through the aspect of climate change and gender- just. Belonging to one of the mountainous community, she is aspired to enlighten her knowledge on mountain ecosystem and resources management with intersection of climate change and gender aspect and willing to contribute in the mountain region in the future. She belongs to one of the mountainous Indigenous group known as 'Thakali' from Mustang in Nepal. Since 2013, she has begun her journey in the field of Environment as a volunteer, intern, freelancer and then as a professional employee.
