Mr. Oghenerukevwe Ituru is a lecturer in the Faculty of Law, Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria, an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. He is currently a doctoral candidate with research interest in Intellectual Property Law and Environmental Protection at Chukwuemeka Odumegun Ojukwu University, Anambra State of Nigeria. He teaches the law of intellectual property. Having obtained his Masters in Law degree from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria with focus on the legal framework for the eradication of oil pollution in Nigeria, he has been researching on the critical nexus between intellectual property rights and environmental sustainability. The aim is his current research interest is to develop a legal strategy that does not only facilitate the protection of the environment but also foster innovation within the ambit of intellectual property law and environmental law. His work seeks to bridge the gap between environmental preservation, particularly towards the tackling of industrial pollution and the realization of intellectual property rights.
