Dr. Daniela Antonescu is a Scientific Researcher at the Center of Mountain Economy Center since 2017, and since 2008 she has been employed at the Institute of National Economy of the Romanian Academy. She graduated from the Faculty of Banking and Finance of the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest in 1991 and since then she dedicated her career to scientific research. She completed her doctoral studies in 2003 and postdoctoral studies in 2011, specializing in economy and regional development. In 2017, she received the award of the Romanian Academy for the work on endogenous economic development at the regional level “The Case of Romania” (co-author). She published over 50 articles and studies and participates in over 30 national and international conferences. She is a member of the Romanian Association of Regional Studies and the European Association of Regional Studies. Moreover, she is a member of the board of several scientific magazines and journals.
